   It is very  important to consider both the pros and cons of online learning so you can be well prepared to face the challenge that associated with learning and teaching online. 
So, 
What are the advantages and the limitations of online learning?

1. Advantages of the online learning compare with conventional face to face teaching:
* Extendibility, accessibility, and suitability : Users can proceed through online course at their own pace and at their own place at any time . 
* Quicker (and cheaper) turnaround of finished product. u
* Collaborative and exploratory learning environments.
* uEasy and affordable training delivery. 
* uInexpensive worldwide distribution : No separate or distinct distribution mechanism is needed u
* Travel cost and time savings: Learning is delivered directly to the learner.
* Web browsers and Internet connections are widely available.
*Access is controllable - You can direct and monitor who receives web training or online course when, how many times, and in what sequence.
* Online materials ,once developed are easy to update,providing students access to current information. 
    
2. The limitations of the Online Learning :
* Not all students have access to computer / may not know how to use Internet resources . 
* Online courses may emphasize technology rather than the content.
* Time and personnel resources not available to many instructors . 
* Bandwidth limitations make it difficult to present advanced  technologies, like streem video ,multimedia ..etc,over the Web.  

*Students challeging in term of taking more responsibility for their own learning.

*Some topics may not adapt to delivery by computer.
Technical support often minimal or nonexistent.
